Format of Pearson Test of English!

Non native English speakers need to prove their English skills to study and immigrate to English speaking countries. Pearson Test of English, abbreviated as PTE is one of the most popular computer based English test accepted by thousands of institutes Australia, Canada, UK, USA, Ireland and New Zealand.

This test consists of following three parts:

1. Speaking and writing: This part is of 77-93 minutes in which speaking skills are tested by personal introduction, repeating sentences, describing image, re-telling lecture and answering questions. To test writing skills a candidate is asked to summarize a text in one sentence and paragraph. Apart from this candidate have to write an easy in 20 minutes.
   
   
2. Reading: In this part candidate is provided with written text and he has to answer multiple choice questions, fill in the blanks and re-order paragraphs in 32-41 minutes.
   
   
3. Listening: For testing listening skills candidate is provided with spoken text which he has to summarize. After carefully listening to the text candidate have to answer multiple-choice questions,  fill in the blanks, select missing words, highlight incorrect words and highlight correct summary.
